Psalm 34:17-19 “The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help.  He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.”

Isaiah 40:28-31 “Have you never heard?  Have you never understood?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth.  He never grows weak or weary.  No one can measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.  But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.  They will soar high on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint.”

Pastor Kim recently talked about how sometimes all you can do is take one more step.  We can know that even in those really dark and difficult times, Jesus is right there with us.

Psalm 23:4 “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me.  Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me.”

I know that He is with me.  He’s given me His word and His Spirit.  His word is the truth, and anything else that sets itself up as truth that does not line up with the Word of God is a lie.

Be encouraged.  If all you can do today is take one more step, then do that.  Take one more step.  Reach out to Jesus.  He is always ready and waiting for you.  There’s nothing that you’ve faced or will face that He didn’t already face for you.  His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

If you feel lost and in the dark, He’s made provision.  The Bible tells us in Psalm 119:105 that His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.  He will never leave us alone.  The Holy Spirit is with us. He teaches us and comforts us.

Today I really just want to convey the compassionate and caring heart of our God.  He sees it all and He knows it all.  He has the words of life for you right now, today in the middle of whatever it is that you are going through.  His words are true and right, and will not fail.  He is perfectly trustworthy.

Let’s pray:  Father, we thank You for Your Word and Your truth.  We thank You that You always make a way, even when there seems to be no way.  We ask today that You will fill us again with Holy Spirit.  Thank You that Your Word releases us from lies and brings us to the truth.  You are a good shepherd, so today we ask You to carry us close to Your heart.  We thank You that You are a good and compassionate Father that cares for us more than we could ever understand.  We love You, Jesus, and thank You for making a way for us to enter in to the presence of the Father to obtain mercy and to find grace to help us in our time of need.  Amen.
