2. Character of God
- Not angry and wiped people off the face of the earth

3. Someone to stand in the gap.
- Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord Genesis 6: 8
- Only two people are mentioned as finding favor and both delivered the people from catastrophe. Moses is the other one.
- Walked with God does not mean did good things compared to the bad things other people did.
- Enoch walked with God. Genesis 5: 23
- Favor here means grace.
- Noah responded to the grace of God that was being poured out on mankind.
- Perfect in his generation and walked with God
- righteous in his generation and walked with God
- First time righteous is used in the bible
- Righteous means two things.
- Standing before God
- Acts we do in response to that standing.
- 2 Corinthians 5; 21 GOD MADE HIM WHO KNEW NO SIN TO BECOME SIN FOR US SO WE COULD BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.
- To sum it up Noah responded to God’s righteousness and found favor
- God was going to use him to deliver mankind from annihilation
4. Mind Strongholds
- 2 Corinthians 10: 1, 2 some will always see us as just walking in the flesh, never as a person of righteousness.
- Punish every act of disobedience when our own obedience is achieved.
- Renewed mind in Christ. Romans 12: 1, 2
- Thoughts we are attacked with and become strongholds
- Anger and bitterness
- Possessions and envy
- Lust of flesh
- Lust of eyes
- Pride of life
- Accept God’s grace to cast down these strongholds.
- Imaginations which are not true
- Take captive every thought.
- No such thing as innocent thoughts.
- We can do this through the power of righteousness Jesus gave us.
5. Setting others free
- When our obedience is complete we are ready to tear down strongholds.
- Like Noah do the impossible
- He had one promise and he kept at it for 120 years.
- He did what he was commanded.
- He preached to sinners 2 Peter 2: 5 Preacher of righteousness
- No one repented, but Noah kept going.
- God knows how to spare those who love him from judgement 2 Peter 2: 9
- God patient in keeping his promises 2 Peter 2: 8
