After years of King Saul ruling with selfish ambition and disobedience to God, David was anointed to the throne, which would bring restoration to Israel. Despite his great sins against God, King David humbled himself and consistently turned back to Him in repentance. In our walk with God, we may be led astray at times, but walking in repentance allows us to run back and follow through in obedience to His will.
