We have been looking at the life of John the Baptist and his message to prepare for the kingdom of God to come.
- Repent (turn around your life)
- Kingdom of heaven is here
- Your kingdom come (Starts small so don’t get discouraged)
- Your will be done. Kingdom will come as will is done.
Now people are coming to John and he is observing their spiritual cleansing.
Discerned people who really were just in it because of the crowd.

What shall we do?
Talking about adoption and can just lead to guilt and I don’t want to see this happen in our lives. but I do want to see what God has for us in each area and how we are to respond.
Don’t think you are alright just because you are children of Abraham.
2. Reaction to the poor.
Luke 3: 11.
James 1: 27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means. caring for the orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
Pure religion is not our worship, prophetic words, even my speaking.
Talked on the later part of this verse the past few weeks with talking about repentance, now I want to focus on the first part.
Focusing on orphans this morning.

3. Good ground produces good fruit.
shallowness, problems cares of this world, crowd out what God wants to do.
Problem is not the soil or the seed, but the other things that get in the way of doing what we know to do.
4. Refugees
In recent weeks, we have all seen the heartbreaking images as hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees make desperate attempts to reach the shores of Europe. Some never make it, their boats capsizing in the tempestuous Mediterranean Sea. Others who do make it now stand on the shores of a foreign continent with little support or resources. Some are rejected and turned away. One report made global headlines when a three-year-old was found dead in the incoming tide after a boat capsized. Grief was deep and tears were shed—yet the crisis continues with no end in sight. This is the largest human migration to take place in Europe since the end of World War II. Tens of thousands daily join the ranks of the homeless and outcast
