1 Corinthians 2: 4, 5 My words are not wise or persuasive, but rather a demonstration of the Spirit’s power in order that our faith might not rest on men’s wisdom but on God’s power.”

If the Holy Spirit moves, nothing can stop Him, but if he doesn’t move, then no amount of money or programing is going to do anything.

  1. The Holy Spirit is God

Acts 5: 3 You lied to the Holy Spirit…Vs 4 You didn’t lie to us, but you lied to God

Acts 20: 28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Isaiah 9:6 talking about the names of Jesus Wonderful counselor Mighty God Everlasting Father

2. Greater Revelation of Jesus

God was in heaven, but they could know him through Jesus. Today we have the same thing. Jesus is no longer here he is in heaven, but we have the Holy Spirit.

John 14: 15 – 18 If you love me, you will obey what I command. I will ask the Father and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth…

Another = another of the same sort

3. Knowing Jesus is better than seeing Him

John 20: 29 Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed.

Goes with John 16: 12 – 15 I have much more to say to you more than you can bear. But when the Holy Spirit comes, he will make it known to you…The Spirit will take what is mine and make it known to you.

Key Point: Holy Spirit came to show us Jesus

Matthew 16: 13 Who do people say that I am?

Vs 16 You are the Messiah God himself.

Vs 17 Didn’t learn this by any human, but by The Holy Spirit Himself.

Jesus was able to share more about Himself and the future after the disciples knew how to hear from the Holy Spirit.

Cornelius Acts 10
