We are continuing to look at gray areas in our lives and try to find some direction to navigate us through these areas. How to share without being judgmental.

  1. All religions are judgmental.

Have you ever seen the bumper sticker Coexsist?

  1. Islam – Allah is god and Mohamed is his prophet
  2. Hindu – reincarnation until perfection of nothingness
  3. Buddhist – attain nothingness and nirvana.e
  4. Christianity – Jesus is the only way to know the father.

John 3: 18 – 20 There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him.  But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.  And the judgment is based on this fact:  God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.

Thought process of those not in relationship with Jesus.

Ephesians 4: 18, 19 Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.  They have no sense of shame.  They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.

Impurity = aseggia no care for how much it shocks, just want to satisfy lusts.

1 Corinthians 5: 12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. God will judge those outside…

We should not be surprised or shocked at the sins of those who are not in relationship with Jesus.

It is alright to disagree, but not be disagreeable.

What are we to do.

2. Called to warn others.

Ezekiel 33: 9 Required to warn others.

Must put off fear Matthew 10: 26 – 28Don’t fear those who can only kill our body; they can’t touch your soul.  Fear only God who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

3. Get God’s heart for the lost.

1 Timothy 1: 15, 16

EXAMPLE: Boko haram killing christians and stealing christian girls.  This would be Paul of his time.

Remember last week when I said we don’t like it when God pours out His grace on some people.

Paul’s heart = Romans 9: 3 wish I myself were cut off so my people could experience salvation.

Have this heart the next step will be easy.

4. Love your enemies.

Ephesians 5: 1 Imitate God in everything we do…live a life filled with love following the example of Christ.  He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us.  A pleasing aroma to God.

1 Peter 2: 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us.

Living life of integrity in front of others.

5. Be prepared to be lead by the Holy Spirit

Nehemiah broken for walls of Jerusalem

We are called to be a repairer of walls a restorer of streets with dwellings.

Went to the disaster in front of him and walked alone.

Rebuild the wall in front of their house.

God has placed you where you are for a purpose.

1 Peter 3: 15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect.
