| Devotional by Nathan Christopherson (Harvestime Chippewa Falls) | Bible Reading: Matthew 9:35-38 There is a harvest that is ready to be brought in. People in the valley and all over the world—they are ready to hear about Christ. We need to pray for laborers to be raised up, they are few.

Bible Reading: Luke 9:59-60 God speaks to us, but we are BUSY people. It is not easy to drop everything that seems to be very important at that moment. Don’t worry about those things. If God is calling you He will take care of the things that are keeping you still.

| Devotional by Moriah Locke (Harvestime Eau Claire) | Bible Reading: Genesis 22:1-13 When God requires a sacrifice, He will provide all that is needed. He sees us and He is reliable to His promises every time. Stand on His promises and trust in the Lord as you go.

Bible Reading: Genesis 12:3 Some tasks require directions or instructions, but sometimes God doesn’t give instructions. It is a faith movement and God may reveal His plan later, or perhaps not at all. If God told you to go today with anything more, would you do it?

When Ruth’s husband died she was given a difficult decision. One that would affect her for the rest of her life. Would she go back to Moab and the god that they worshiped, or would she follow her mother-in-law to a new land and worship the God of Israel? There is a right and a wrong way to go.

As we are scraping the surface of this fast, a great direction to start going is toward Christ. From there, direction will follow. We stand and wait for Him.

When Elijah completed his 40 day fasting in 1 Kings, he found himself on Mount Sinai depressed and stagnant. God spoke with him and pushed him out into the world. God wasn’t done with Elijah, there is more to go do to advance His kingdom.

Today is the first day of our 40 Days of Fasting and Prayer under the theme “Go”! We are looking at John 16, right before Jesus goes to the cross. He talks about going away, but he wound be back. When we “go alone” we are not actually alone. We have the Holy Spirit with us.
