A look at 1 John and how love can have an influence on our society
This is important because Paul stated that he was a witness before others and God that he was a man of integrity before others ()See 1 Thessalonians 2: 10)
1 John 2: 3 We can be sure we are in the love of God.
1 John 5: 13 “these things are written to you who believe so you can know you have eternal life”
If we have to obey to prove we are int he love of God, we all fall short. God is challenging us to strive and not give up.
Jesus challenged His disciples to obey Him in John
- 14: 15 if you love me obey my commandments
- 14: 21 accept and obey
- 14: 23 all will do what I say
- 15: 10 obey my commandments remain in my love
2 Chronicles 16: 9 the eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him
1 John 2: 5 When we obey, we truly show how much we love Jesus

Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
