Bible Focus: Samuel 14:6-7
ENGLISH TRANSLATION: Hi, what’s up church? Good morning, welcome. Today is day number 24 of the 40 days of fasting and prayer with the theme of Go. My name is Sergio Velázquez, and I am a pastor at Iglesia Tiempo Cosechar. I want us to go to the Bible in the book of Samuel, the first book of Samuel, chapter 14, verses 6 and 7, and I want to share this word with you to motivate you, says the word of the Lord, so he said. Jonathan said to the young man who was carrying his battle-clothes, “‘Come, let us go over to the place where the soldiers are who have not gone through the religious act of the Jews. It may be that the Lord will work for us, for there is nothing to keep the Lord from saving by many or by few.’ The young man who was carrying his battle-clothes said to him, ‘Do all that is in your mind. I am with you in whatever you think to do.'” Amen.
Church, just as Saul and Jonathan and their army were surrounded by the Philistines, we found ourselves surrounded by many things that take away our joy that rob us of the tension and the heart of the word of the Lord, church. Today I want to motivate you to continue trusting in the Name of the Lord, since he has said that all power has been given in heaven and on earth, and under the cover that he has of having that power, let us go ahead and remember the words in Samuel 14:6. “It may be that the Lord will work for us, for there is nothing to keep the Lord from saving by many or by few.” Church, it doesn’t depend on the number of people that go, it depends on whether you have the certainty in your heart and the faith that God is with you. The Lord has promised to be with us every day until the end of the world. Church, remember let’s go ahead and let us defeat all the armies that rise up against us in the mighty name of Jesus, Church.
Today I want to pray with you: Lord, I thank You for the promises we have received and because Your Word is faithful and true through all the centuries. Lord, strengthen us and our daily walk. Lord, help us remember Your word that you are with us and that if You are with us, who will we fear? It is not impossible for You to save with many or with few. Dear God, you are sovereign, and just as You gave victory to Saul and you gave him the victory of Jonathan, Lord, help us to have certainty in our hearts. We give that faith to know that you are with us in the midst of all tribulation, of all problems, of all chances that You will keep us that you are our maker and our keeper blesses beloved father to each and every one of my brothers, in the mighty name of Christ Jesus, amen.
