When the Bible talks about ministering in to ways: “be the light” and “be the salt.” Light draws things to it. It fills the area and darkness flees. Salt is flavor. It makes food better as well as preserves it. Both of these comparisons sound awesome, but there are some persecution that comes with both.

As we move through “A Transformed Life” series, we see that the next few beatitudes are presented to Jesus’ followers. Being merciful, pure of heart, peacemakers, and those who suffer persecution will all have present and future blessings bestowed on them.

We are continuing our exploration of the Beatitudes where he reveals the path to true blessing and relationship with God. Jesus says that the meek are blessed because they will inherit the earth. But, what does it mean to be meek?
